Hugh Jackman has officially confirmed that the third Wolverine movie will be his last time playing the role that he has owned in the X-Men film franchise.
Although fans have been speculating that Hugh Jackman will be hanging up his Wolverine’s claws after he posted a cryptic Instagram photo back in March.
But he has officially confirmed the news Thursday. “This will be my last one,” Jackman said.
“It just felt like it was the right time to do it. And let’s be honest, 17 years. I never thought in a million years it would last, so I’m so grateful to the fans for the opportunity of playing it. I kind of have in my head what we’re going to do in this last one. It just feels like this is the perfect way to go out.”
Jackman’s Wolverine has been the most iconic role in the franchise since he first played Logan in the original X-Men. It's going to be a sad when he retires from the role.
