On Thursday, a report surfaced that a Supergirl TV series was in development, but a lot of the initial information is being disputed. According to the initial report, Michael Green was producing the series, but that information is reportedly false.
According to a new Deadline report, Arrow and The Flash’s Greg Berlanti and No Ordinary Family’s Ali Adler are the ones actually behind the series. Warner Bros. TV and Berlanti Prods. will reportedly produce the series.
However, here’s the most interesting part. The project is said to be a new interpretation of the Supergirl character and background story. The show does not have an official name yet, but titles under consideration include Super and Girl.
The Hollywood Reporter also backs up the report that the series will not be called Supergirl. They also add that it's unclear if the series will be a half-hour or an hour long show.
