"Fire Across the Galaxy" is the 14th episode and season 1 finale of Star Wars Rebels and also the best the show has to offer.  I realize this review is late, and most people have already seen it, but it's a lot to process.

Still, if you haven't yet made up your mind about this series, I can say that you should stick it out until this episode, because this was Star Wars.

The episode begins in the middle of the action as Sabine, Ezra, and Zeb steal a transport to take to Kanan's rescue.  From there, the heroes go to the Mustafar system above the planet, where the Jedi is being held (and tortured) in a Star Destroyer.  From there, they board the ship, engage in an epic lightsaber battle between Ezra, Kanan and the Inquisitor.  Finally, the identity of Fulcrom is revealed, and it does not disappoint.

Keeping with the rhythm of the saga, this finale has shades of A New Hope and The Phantom Menace, and teases the future of the show in a way that the show can only go up from here.  Season 2 cannot start soon enough, and I give this episode an A+, it is the best of the series so far.
