Obi-Wan Kenobi is rumored to be the subject of one of the planned Star Wars spinoff movies, according to a report at Making Star Wars.
The report, unearthed at CBM after sitting untapped for a couple of days, says "I've heard from quite a few people now that an Obi-Wan Kenobi movie is in the works. For the spin-off movies they were initially going to stay away from any Jedi or Sith characters. But I’m hearing now that because of the popularity of Obi-Wan that an art team is now working with a writer on concepts for an Obi-Wan movie."
Both Ewan McGregor, who played Obi-Wan in the prequel trilogy, and Liam Neeson, who played his mentor Qui-Gon Jinn, have expressed interest in returning for more Star Wars. Gareth Edwards and Josh Trank are both attached to spinoff films, which are being spearheaded by writer/producers Lawrence Kasdan and Simon Kinberg.
