In what some are calling the widest casting call of all time, Disney and Lucasfilm have reportedly met with more than 2,500 actors in their search for a young Han Solo to star in the smuggler’s solo spinoff film.

The character was played by Harrison Ford in the original Star Wars trilogy, and Ford is reprising that role for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but a younger star is needed to step into the scoundrel’s shoes for the Solo solo film.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the list of actors the studio has met with is said to include Ansel Elgort, Dave Franco, Tom Felton, Leo Howard, Logan Lerman, Jack Reynor, Max Thieriot, Miles Teller, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Nick Robinson , Tony Oller, Chandler Riggs, Hunter Parish, Landon Liboiron, Ed Westwick, Joshua Sasse, Colton Haynes and Rami Malek.

The Han Solo spinoff is being directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, and begins production in January 2017. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on May 28, 2018.
