Simon Pegg and Nick Frost — who worked together on Spaced, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Paul and The World’s End — are teaming up again for a new genre project: a comedy-horror movie titled Slaughterhouse Rulez. But there’s a small catch ...

The dynamic duo is actually launching their own UK-based film and TV production banner called Stolen Picture and Slaughterhouse Rulez will be their first project, with the movie being backed by Sony Pictures. Not sure if they will co-star (or not) in the project, though.

According to DeadlineSlaughterhouse Rulez will be directed by Crispian Mills (A Fantastic Fear of Everything) from a screenplay co-written with Henry Fitzherbert (Love & Friendship), with Pegg and Frost (who is currently kicking butts on AMC's Into the Badlands) executive producing. So what’s the movie about? Here’s a detailed description:

Slaughterhouse Rulez is set in an elite boarding school – Welcome to Slaughterhouse – where boys and girls are groomed for power and greatness and they’re about to meet their match. The story’s hero, Don Wallace, is a wide-eyed new boy from a modest background forced to navigate a baffling new world of arcane rules and rituals, presided by sadistic sixth formers. Matters of status are aggressively enforced and conversation with school goddess Clemsie, are strictly forbidden.
But this ancient and ordered world is about to be shaken to its foundations – literally – when a controversial frack site on prize school woodland causes seismic tremors, a mysterious sinkhole and an unspeakable horror is unleashed. Soon a new pecking order will be established as pupils, teachers and the school matron become locked in a bloody battle for survival.

Sounds like a cool, wacky episode of Doctor Who, don't you think? We’re told that Simon Pegg and Nick Frost’s Stolen Picture will “look for film and television projects geared towards a global audience. The company will aim to produce a variety of scripted entertainment in line with Pegg and Frost’s unique brand.”

There's no premiere date slated for Slaughterhouse Rulez yet, but hopefully we'll be getting this one sooner rather than later. What do you think?
