She's a pirate. She's a mercenary. She's a villainous alien. And according to director James Gunn, Nebula is the "interplanetary Clint Eastwood" of his upcoming Marvel movie, Guardians Of The Galaxy. Take a look.
A new image of Karen Gillan in the forthcoming Guardians Of The Galaxy has been revealed.
The picture, which you can see at the top of the screen, was posted on Instagram by the film's director James Gunn. The filmmaker described Gillan's character, the villainous Nebula, as "our interplanetary Clint Eastwood".
Guardians Of The Galaxy centres on a team of superheroes – including Star-Lord, Drax The Destroyer and Rocket Raccoon – who appear in a 2008 comic book series of the same name. Marvel is hoping it will kickstart another big screen franchise like The Avengers when it opens in cinemas on August 1, 2014.

Now how about a bit of Gillan's Nebula makeover in action courtesy of a couple of GIFs from All Things Marvel.
It was reported recently that Marvel are already discussing a sequel to the film, which could potentially be released on May 6, 2016 – a date which has been reserved for an unannounced project by Marvel, and would come shortly after a Guardians Of The Galaxy cartoon series premieres on Disney XD in autumn 2015. Marvel, however, have not yet commented on the reports.
