Another round of rumors surrounding DC’s cinematic universe have surfaced about a supporting character, and if it's true, it'll echo not just through the future of the DC Movieverse, but through its backstory.
According to Latino Review, we'll be able to see Jason Todd's Robin costume in the the Batcave at some point in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Also according to Latino Review, Suicide Squad takes place before Dawn of Justice. And Harley Quinn will be "estranged" from The Joker because she feels guilty about Todd's death. Latino Review's report makes it clear that The Joker is somehow responsible for Todd's death in the movie universe. How and what happened isn't mentioned.
But the report does go on to say that Todd’s persona post-resurrection, the Red Hood, is now a priority character for Warner Bros. So it looks like, one way or another, we'll be running into a very much alive Jason Todd sooner or later.
As most comics fans know, Todd was infamously killed off, via fan vote, in the 1988 Batman storyline "A Death in the Family." Tim Drake became the third Robin, and Todd stayed dead for nearly 20 years before finally returning as the antihero Red Hood in 2005.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters March 25, 2016.
